Amendments

When to use the amendment form:

Additions to an existing project
Use the amendment form if you need additional data for an existing project. On this form you can indicate the changes you are making to the original plan, and the additional data you need. An amendment may require a new round of reviews by the DAC; NTR data management will assess this.

Student projects resulting in a paper
The student data request form is intended for quick processing of student thesis requests, and does not cover everything required for a regular data request. If you would like to submit a student paper for publication, a new data request should be submitted by the supervisor or another qualified co-author, using the amendment form.

When not to use the amendment form:

New project using old data
If you are requesting data for a new project that is very similar to a previous project, and uses partly or entirely the same data, please do NOT use the amendment form but submit a new proposal. If you wish to use the exact same dataset created for a previous project, you can specify this on the form.

Updates
If you need an update of an existing dataset, but the variables requested are the same, an amendment is not needed. Just send an e-mail to NTR data management.

Note

Please try to avoid repeated amendments; requesting everything you need at once will save you a lot of time.
